Voyage Itinerary

Adriatic Exploration

Each day on this Adriatic adventure brings something new, from canals in Venice, to underground caverns in Slovenia, to clifftop monasteries in Greece. A night and full day in Venice before departure lets you bask in the glory of piazzas, canals, palaces, and Murano’s famous glassmakers.

Outside of Koper, take an underground tour of Skocjan Caves, a sprawling network of river-carved limestone caverns stretching over six kilometers. Or visit Slovenia’s beautiful capital city of Ljubljana, where an emerald river encircles a pedestrian and bike-friendly old town.

The island of Korcula has kept Croatia’s folk traditions alive as well as its winemaking traditions. Dubrovnik is Korcula’s grown-up cousin, with its own massive ramparts and marble streets lined with historic monuments. A late stay here lets you return to town after sunset for dinner and music, an experience you shouldn’t miss.

Be on deck as we sail the magnificent fjord to Kotor, an ancient city nestled against steep mountains. If you’re feeling fit, climb the steps to the Fortress for fabulous views. You’ll get another chance to sigh over the beautiful fjord as we depart.

As we sail south, each of three ports in Greece will add to your “who knew?” travel stories. The Island of Corfu is a stunning beauty with its olive trees, turquoise waters, and quaint cobbled street. Katakolon is the home of the ancient Olympiad, and Nafplio is arguably one of the prettiest towns in Greece, with elegant homes lining narrow streets with sweeping bay views. At the end we sail to Athens—a fitting end to this great escape.
