Island Hop and Golf Around the Med

Azamara Club Cruises is proud to again partner with PerryGolf™ for an exceptional golf and sightseeing voyage to some of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean onboard Azamara Journey®. Beginning in brilliant Barcelona, we set sail for Valencia, where old world Gothic grandeur awaits, and where you’ll play the Parador de El Saler golf course located in a lush national park. In Palma de Mallorca, explore the world’s largest underground lake at the Drach Caves and put your game to the test surrounded by vineyards at the Son Gual Golf Course.

We’ve got one last stop in Spain at marvellous Mahon before cruising to Corsica and the fashionable French resort town of Port Vecchio. Golf the Robert Trent Jones-designed Spérone course—the coastal holes here are said to rival Pebble Beach and Cypress Point. On the island of Sardinia, we stay in Olbia where you’ll have the opportunity to play another jewel in the Jones crown of courses, Pevero.

Spend a day at sea comparing your experience on all four courses, then we’re off to Italy. Immerse yourself in the stunning coastal beauty of Amalfi with a tour up winding cliff side roads. In Sorrento, you’ve got one last chance to island hop over to Capri for the day before we conclude your amazing golf voyage in Rome.

These protected areas serve as our backdrop for today’s activities: an immersion into a rural, authentic experience at harmony with Mother Nature. These 140 hectares of land are filled with rolling grain fields, forage valleys, and cedar woods. The organic orchard that lies within is strictly cared for and nourished according to the rules of biological farming. And it’s from here that you’ll embark on one of the area’s oldest traditions: the art of making bread. Watch grain turn into flour and learn how to make gnocchi with a hands-on lesson—followed by lunch—under the dappled shade of the trees that sit lake-front, as you indulge in the organic products of the farm. After lunch, witness the milking of sheep and the incredible process that turns milk into cheese. Then go on a horseback ride through the woods, arriving at the hilltop for a bird’s eye view of the surrounding lakes, rolling hills, and the Tyrrhenian Sea.
