Ancient Temples of Bagan
Travel to the heart of ancient Myanmar culture and explore one of the most important archaeological sites in Asia. In Yangon, seek out unique treasures at colorful markets for a taste of local life.
Depart Yangon on an overnight expedition that reveals the ancient treasures of Bagan. The richest archeological find in Asia, Bagan was founded in 849AD and boasts a jaw-dropping collection of 3,000 pagodas and temples spread across 26 square miles. Before leaving the city, visit the Nyaung Oo Morning Market for a bustling taste of local life. Sufficiently energized, it’s off to Bagan’s 11th-century Shwezigon Pagoda. Known for its magnificent golden stupa, said to exude a regal sense of calm, this is the primary site of pilgrimage in Bagan. Continue to the Gubyaukgyi Temple and explore halls adorned with scenes from the various lives of Buddha, and the revered Annada Temple, a whitewashed jewel graced with four Buddha statues. Break for lunch atop the Bagan Viewing Tower before heading to your hotel, the Aureum Palace, for a little free time to unwind.
The afternoon brings visits to a local lacquer factory and a nearby village. Sunset finds you taking in the views from the famed Sunset Temple (where else?). Back at the hotel, savor a spectacular Myanmar Royal Dinner and a traditional folklore performance beneath a canopy of stars.
On day two, enjoy a complimentary hotel breakfast before catching your return flight to Yangon. Time permitting, you’ll enjoy the good fortune of visiting the famed Scott Market once in Yangon. This market boasts the largest collection of handicrafts in the city and is the perfect place to pick up trinkets, treasures and exotic souvenirs. Afterwards, it’s off to Thilawa Port, where you’ll find the ship ready and waiting to continue your unforgettable voyage.

Embark on an overnight adventure to experience Italy’s greatest cities. Take the fast train to stunning Venice. Check into a 4-star hotel, the night’s accommodations, before setting out by boat to St. Mark’s Square. Enjoy a guided tour of the Doge’s Palace. Climb the Golden Staircase and admire paintings by Tintoretto and Veronese that adorn this gothic masterpiece. Join the bustle of musicians and artists that congregate in the square, and tour St. Mark’s Cathedral to view its stunning marble and mosaics. Come nightfall, feel free to dine and explore independently.
Wake bright and early for the trip to Florence. Arrive and set out on a guided walk through the city center to Signoria Square, where a replica of Michelangelo’s “David” stands. Cross the Arno River to explore legendary Florentine jewelers and enjoy time for lunch and shopping in Piazza Santa Croce. Spend two full days immersed in Italian greatness.

Bedouin Desert Nights
Embark on a 4WD journey to lush desert oases, waterfalls, and charming towns on your way to Desert Nights Camp. Savor a traditional barbeque, and sleep in luxurious tent accommodations. Complete your desert excursion with a camel ride and visit with a Bedouin family.
Your journey begins with a 4WD ride to Wadi Arabayeen, a valley of deep blue amid date palms, and the Bimah Sinkhole, a limestone crater of teal water. Enjoy a photo stop at Wadi Shab, full of breathtaking lagoons, waterfalls and natural plant terraces before replenishing for the afternoon with lunch at the Sur Plaza Hotel. See graceful wooden dhow ships at a traditional workshop and continue onto Wahiba Sands. After checking into Desert Nights Camp, let loose with a little dune bashing or take more photos. An authentic Arab barbecue dinner sizzles in the night as locals play the oud, an Omani lute, and artists offer henna tattoos. At night’s end, bed down in a marvelously well-appointed tent, designed for extreme comfort and a sense of oneness with the desert.
The next day, awake to breakfast and learn about the important role the camel plays in Bedouin life before saying good-bye to Wahiba Sands. Journey on to meet a Bedouin family in their home in a community of approximately 3,000 people of various tribal origins. Pass panoramas in the Eastern Hajar Moutains and prepare for a swim in Wadi Bani Khalid. This clear desert pool is a lovely place to float while staring at the pure desert sky or surrounding dunes. Fuel up with lunch at Al Sharqiya Sands Hotel in Ibra, one of Oman’s oldest cities before returning to Muscat.
