Mixing Cocktails the Azamara Way

What could be better than enjoying a drink on the deck of a ship, watching the shoreline slowly disappear into the distance? Knowing that your drink was made by one of the best cruise industry mixologists! Bacardi recently held their sixth annual Bacardi Cruise Competition, pitting the top bartenders and chefs of the cruise industry against one another to discover the most innovative and delicious cuisine.

This year, Azamara bartender Muhamad Muttaqien was one of the Top 5 finalists with his cocktail “All Night Long.” Entered under the Dewar’s Blended Scotch Whiskies category, “All Night Long” proved to set a new standard in the way of blended scotch whisky drinks!

Here’s the recipe so you can enjoy a taste of the Azamara experience at home!

“All Night Long”


2 2/5 parts DEWARS® 12 Year Old
1 1/5 parts Milk (full fat)
2/5 part Egg yolk (half an egg yolk)
4/5 part Honey Syrup
3-4 pieces Fresh ginger (thumb size)
Dash: Vanilla essence

Make honey syrup by dissolving one-part honey in one-part water over low heat. Muddle ginger in a cocktail shaker; add DEWARS® 12 Year Old and all other ingredients (except egg yolk) plus cubed ice. Add the egg yolk; shake hard and double strain into a chilled martini glass. Finish with a sprinkling of freshly grated cinnamon.
