Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Update

Royal Caribbean will no longer allow Samsung Galaxy Note 7 cell phones onboard our ships. This decision was made in light of recent incidents and safety concerns raised by Samsung about this particular device, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recent ban of the phone from all airplanes. We ask that guests who own a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 not bring the device on your cruise. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and looking forward to welcoming you aboard.

An island oasis in the Indian ocean

Off the coast of the island of Bandos lies the uninhabited tiny island oasis of Kuda Bandos. One of the 1,192 coral islands that make up the Maldives, you can’t help but escape on this island paradise. And we can’t help but give kudos to the calm, serene, almost dream-like setting surrounding the Indian Ocean.

Search between the lush green palms in search of exotic birds and reptiles. Stroll the virtually empty, sprawling white-sand beach. Kick back and relax in a hammock in the shade—Maldvian hammocks may not look typical, but take our word for it, they are oh so comfortable. And if you’re feeling up to it, Kuda Bandos is a haven for water sport enthusiasts; try your hand at windsurfing, fishing, water-skiing, and sailing in the warm tropical waters.

Once you step foot on this incredible island—the last remaining “picnic island” for the nearby capital, Malé—you’ll truly understand what it means to be off the radar.
