The urban voyage. But not the usual cities. These are the cities of Northern Europe, and they’re remarkable.

Your departure city, Copenhagen, Denmark. An elegant city with a blend of old-world charm, modern efficiency, and friendly people. You may want to get here early.

Århus, Denmark – one visit to the beautiful 12th-century Domkirke and one to the ARoS modern art museum shows the perfect balance of old and new in Denmark’s second-largest city.

Skagen, Denmark – for over 600 years, artists and affluent travelers have been coming to this beautiful, isolated spot where you can stand with one foot in the Baltic Sea and one in the Black Sea.

Oslo, Norway – take a subway to the forest. Visit Viking ships, and the fascinating Nobel Peace Center. This city is a marvel.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, overnight – bike along the seventeenth-century canals, or tour them in a glass-topped boat and see the fairy lights at night. Visit the Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh museum. Finally, tour the Heineken factory, eat stroopwafels (with a caramel center), and gobble down frites. (But maybe not in that order.) Good thing this is an overnight!

Honfleur, France. Where the quality of light has attracted artists Monet, Corot, Turner, Courbet, Millet, and Seurat. Visit where they all stayed while you’re there: Saint Siméon, now Honfleur’s most luxurious hotel. Or spend the day on a guided tour of the D-Day landing beaches.

London, England. Where your voyage concludes with a glorious cruise up the Thames River, just downriver from the iconic the Tower Bridge. You’ll stay for an overnight, but you may want to add another day or two, post voyage, just to catch up on your shopping.
