That's Entertainment: Captivating Performances on Azamara Club Cruises

Last year I had the wonderful experience of going on Azamara’s Spice Trade voyage and managed to taste my way through deliciously fragrant cities such as Penang, Goa, and Kerala, to name a few. This month I’ll be cruising through another part of Asia, which are uncharted waters for me even though my home country is Vietnam.
Part of the excitement and draw of an Azamara cruise is the excursions, which keep you amazed and fascinated day after day. Usually, I like to unwind on my own after a long day exploring, excursions, and sightseeing. One of the benefits of being on a cruise is that you get to meet some friendly (and often energetic!) souls. They generally want to meet fellow travelers, adopt them into their group, and invite them to join in an evening of entertainment.
On my last cruise, I overheard Azamara guests talking over dinner about Russ Grieve, the Cruise Director onboard.  It was obvious that the passengers adore him and the Azamara crew. They asked me if I had seen any of the shows.
I responded as neutrally as possible, with a "Yes, I intend to," all the while thinking of the nice soft bed in my room. (Remember, I like to turn in early!) But this group would not take no for an answer, and I found myself coaxed into venturing out. I was pleasantly surprised by the caliber of the show, and soon I was enjoying myself one show after the other. You could say some of these performers are of the same caliber as those on Broadway.
Russ Grieve fills his voyages with lots of music, including Broadway reviews, instrumentalists, a cool evening of acappella vocals, and artists from London. Russ even performs in his own production, featuring popular Broadway show tunes.  There is such a wide range of entertainment throughout the cruise, including magic, comedy, and dance.  No matter your taste, Russ has the entertainment to keep you smiling while cruising on the Quest.
Still not convinced? Here’s a video that will give you a real taste of the entertainment quality on the Azamara cruises:
