Voyage #1 – 10 Night Holy Land And Greek Isles, 15-May-2013 – 25-May-2013

On this voyage on the Azamara Journey, many late night departures allow time for exploring the ancient treasures and modern culture of the Greek Isles, Cyprus and the Holy Land. You'll enjoy a full day in Náfplio, home to the Bronze Age treasures of Mycenae.

In Chania, Crete you'll get another full day to wander the charming narrow streets and restaurants of this city's ancient Venetian Harbor.

From Ashdod and Haifa, join optional Cruise Global, Connect LocalSM shore excursions to Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee and Nazareth.

Then you're off to explore the world-class mosaics, tavernas and great natural beauty of Paphos on Cyprus, followed by Rhodes, Santorini and Mykonos.

Spend a full day and evening in the Southern Israeli port of Ashdod, gateway to Jerusalem and Bethlehem, with optional Cruise Global, Connect LocalSM shore excursions to the Dead Sea & Massada, Jaffa & Tel Aviv, and Mount Moriah.

Spend another full day and evening in the Northern Israeli port of Haifa, from where you can visit Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee. Or why not get baptized in the Jordan River?

The AzAmazing Evenings Event will be held in Haifa at a torchlight concert at a 2,000 year-old Roman fortress, featuring lively Klezmer music and sample traditional fare including shwarma, falafel, couscous and bourekas, along with beer, wine and other beverages. Then the evening closes with a symphonic orchestra performance befitting the ancient surroundings!

Then visit ancient Paphos on Cyprus, just as the Apostle Paul did on his journey. Wander the well-preserved crusader Fort of Rhodes only a short walk from your ship. You'll also get to stroll through the charming Greek town of Nafplion for a taste of unspoiled Greece. And enjoy the shops and restaurants of two of the most famous of all Greek Islands - Santorini & Mykonos.

Voyage #2 – 11 Night Vatican To The Holy Land Voyage, 8-October-2013 – 19-October-2013

On this voyage on the Azamara Journey, the summer crowds have thinned, and it's now the time to explore world-class destinations including Italy, Malta and the Holy Land.

This voyage also includes full days to revel in the beauty of Sorrento, Taormina, and the Renaissance city of Valletta.

Your two days in Ashdod allow for excursions to the holy sites of Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, the lowest body of water on earth. You’ll also have time to tour Tel Aviv and Jaffa, an ancient Biblical seaport with a landmark lighthouse, clock tower, and maze of alleyways leading to the harbor.

Another overnight in Haifa lets you explore the holy sites of Nazareth, Galilee, and the UNESCO World Heritage Old City of Acre.

Voyage Highlights:

Commence your cruise in Civitavecchia (Rome), home to the Vatican. During a full day in Sorrento explore Pompeii, Capri or the Amalfi Coast Villages of Positano or Ravello.

From Catania on the island of Sicily, visit the charming hilltop town of Taormina offering some of the loveliest views, and shops, in the Mediterranean. That evening, the AzAmazing Evenings Event - "Flavors of Sicily" will be held at the Castello di San Marco.

The crusader town of Valletta is the perfect historical jumping off point for your next four days in Israel. With one and one half days in Ashdod, southern Israel, there will be plenty of time to visit Jerusalem, Bethlehem. Another overnight stay in Israel in the town of Haifa allows you time to explore Nazareth, The Sea of Galilee, or why not get baptized in the Jordan River?
