If there is a better place to begin a voyage than Singapore, we have yet to find it. This stunning city is filled with delicious food and amazing architecture, so an early arrival is encouraged.
From Singapore, we go east. A stop in Semarang, Indonesia, offers time to learn the traditional art of batik making. Or at least time to shop for this beautiful traditional Javanese cloth, if that’s more of your style. The Buddhist monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Borobudur is another major reason to travel on this voyage. Set on a remote hilltop in central Java, surrounded by lush green vegetation and ringed by volcanoes, more than 500 Buddha statues are perched around the magnificent temples. And then fall in love with Bali. It is difficult not to, especially in secluded spots like Padang Padang, a setting for the film Eat Pray Love. Then sail to Komodo, where you probably won’t fall in love with the dragons, but they are fascinating. And real. Just smaller than you imagined.
After two days at sea, we arrive on the Kimberley coast of Western Australia, known by some as the Pearl Coast because of the mother-of-pearl shells. Take an excursion to Purnululu National Park, and see the stunning beehive karsts of the Bungle Bungle range, striped in alternating bands of orange and gray. Another sea day takes you to Exmouth, where you can swim with whale sharks or see marine turtles nest. On the way to our final destination in Perth, stop in Geraldton, whose skyline is dominated by the beautiful Byzantine St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Also worth a visit is the haunting HMAS Sydney II Memorial, offering expansive views.
Conclude your voyage with an overnight in Perth, where sandy beaches and sprawling city skylines collide. There’s a whole lot of wonder in the Land Down Under.
Sink your teeth into this foodie’s paradise and be sure to try to unofficial dish of the city, chili crab. If eating can be considered the national pastime in Singapore, shopping makes a decent case as the second most popular activity. Head to Orchard Road where miles upon miles of shopping malls await featuring everything from the trendiest fashions to the latest electronic gadgets.
Spend the day sailing in style aboard your boutique hotel at sea. Indulge in a treatment at Sanctum Spa, stay ship shape with a class at our fitness center, or lounge the day away on our sunny pool deck.
In the evening, savor inspired Italian cuisine at Aqualina, or relish in a classic steakhouse experience at Prime C. Plus, you’ll find plenty of exciting evening entertainment, from thrilling shows at Cabaret Lounge to intimate performances in the Living Room.
There’s much to discover in the melting pot of Jakarta. The old town of Batavia will transport you to Indonesia’s Dutch colonial past, Istiqlal Mosque is fascinating, and the flea market on Jalan Surabaya Street is a shopper’s paradise. Head to the trendy Menteng district for modern Indonesian fare, or wander the hip hub of Jalan Benda for French art deco pieces and a great cup of Java.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Prambanan is a collection of massive Hindu temples and a national symbol of Indonesia. And then for something completely different, head to nearby Borobudur, the largest Buddhist monument in the world. The twin soaring—and active—volcanoes on the horizon are the perfect backdrop to watch the sunset over this fertile landscape.
Cultures come together in Surabaya. Beautiful Buddhist temples and Mosques, including the historic Masjid Ample, are visible throughout the city. The Arab quarter is home to narrow lanes filled with stalls selling keepsakes for your journey. Elsewhere, visit the House of Sampoerna, a unique clove museum where you can also sample delicious authentic Indonesian cuisine.
Believe the hype about Bali. Black sand beaches, rejuvenating hot springs, and lush forests create an unforgettable escape in Indonesia. Visit popular places where the rich and famous frequent, or find your own private hideaway off the beaten path. In addition to perfecting the art of relaxation, you'll want to take in unique music and dance styles, and sample some delicious Indonesian cuisine.
One of the New7Wonders of Nature and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Komodo National Park is home to the Komodo dragon and pink sand beaches—one of only seven places in the world with these distinct shores. Their unique hue is thanks to the surrounding coral, which is also home to an astonishing amount of sea life. Strap on your mask and snorkel to explore an entirely different world beneath the waves.

Soak in a sunset over Cable Beach or seek out stunning jewelry in this western port town known for its storied history of pearling. Fortune seekers from Japan, Malaysia, and the Philippines came to strike it rich, and their cultural influence can still be felt. Adventure out for an overnight at an Aboriginal wilderness camp, or tour the beach on the back of a camel.

This former WWII submarine base is home to endless aquatic adventures from snorkeling to whale watching and much more. Discover the stunning World Heritage listed Ningaloo Reef, along with the dolphins, turtles, manta rays, and humpback whales that call it home. Then take an unforgettable hike through the Mandu Mandu Gorge to see wallabies and beautiful views of the Cape Range National Park.

Western Australia’s Batavia Coast has miles of white sand beaches, emerald seas, and lovely small towns, one of which is Geraldton. It’s blessed with sun and consistent winds, and has become Australia’s windsurfing and kite surfing capital. Take an eco-cruise of the Abrolhos Islands, visit the Western Australian Museum and Point Moore Lighthouse, and tour the Byzantine St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.
Situated beside the Swan River, Perth is a magical place to explore. Start in Kings Park on Mount Eliza for an enchanting treetop walk. To indulge in some retail therapy, visit the high-end fashion boutiques of King Street. You can’t miss the historic port of Fremantle with its prison & shipwreck galleries. And just north of Perth lies Swan Valley, Western Australia's oldest wine region.
