Guests were welcomed back to the ship after a day of exploring Aqaba, Jordan and the surrounding areas in a truly original fashion. After being served with frozen lemonade, Captain Leif Karlsson, Hotel Director Ryszard (Richard) Gusmann and Cruise Director Russ Grieve arrived - on camel back!
Never a dull moment on the Azamara Journey! In between the enormous icebergs and the adorable Magellanic penguins of the Falkland Islands, we kept ourselves easily entertained. While cruising around Antarctica, we took advantage of nature's own refrigerator and brought our drinks outside. The fluffy white stuff also proved to be excellent packing material for snowman-making. Check out our 3 Antarctic friends.
The Azamara Journey had its own historic journey in Seville, Spain yesterday. It was the largest cruise ship to have sailed up the Guadalquivir River—then gone through the lock & the draw bridge!—to dock downtown. In honor of the occasion, over 50 local dignitaries and members of the press were in attendance at the plaque-awarding ceremony. Congratulations to the entire Azamara team for being a part of navigation history!
