Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Update

Royal Caribbean will no longer allow Samsung Galaxy Note 7 cell phones onboard our ships. This decision was made in light of recent incidents and safety concerns raised by Samsung about this particular device, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recent ban of the phone from all airplanes. We ask that guests who own a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 not bring the device on your cruise. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and looking forward to welcoming you aboard.

Where traditional meets modern

Chennai (or Madras as it was formerly known) is a true feast for the senses—but especially your sense of taste. Ranked the #2 best food city in the world by National Geographic, be sure to bring a hearty appetite and a taste for adventure when you visit this South Indian port. And if hot sand is more your cup of tea than hot curry, indulge in a little time on the fantastic beaches that line the Bay of Bengal.

Or, if it’s culture you’re hungry for instead, there’s plenty in Chennai to satisfy that craving, too. Travel less than an hour south of the city and you’ll find yourself in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mahabailpuram, This incredible collection of monuments includes rathas (temples in the form of chariots), mandapas (cave sanctuaries), and giant open-air reliefs.

But whether you’re seeking a taste of the exotic, a few morsels of culture, or a sampling of life on the beach, there’s one common ingredient you’re sure to notice everywhere you go: The warm and friendly nature of Chennaites. So roll up your sleeves, dig in, and explore this flavorful city!
