An unforgettable experience at the end of the world

Sail the same waters that explorer Charles Darwin navigated on his historic South American voyage of discovery. Named after his famed ship the HMCS Beagle, this 240-kilometer-long channel borders both Argentina and Chile, and serves up striking natural beauty everywhere you look. From towering glaciers to rare wildlife, there’s nothing quite like sailing along the edge of the world.

Keep an eye out for boisterous sea lion colonies sunning themselves on the shore. The South American sea lion has a distinctive bushy mane that stands out from other sea lion species you’ll see. Look to the air for albatross and cormorants, and to the sea for minke whales, dolphins, and much more.

This close to Antarctica, glaciers are going to be the star of the show. The only sounds you’re likely to hear in this remote wonderland will be icy waterfalls crashing into the tranquil waters of the channel. Some glaciers are more than 2,000 feet tall, while others are large enough to have their own lakes!

There’s more than one way to travel between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in South America, but if you ask us, the Beagle Channel is one of the best.
