Terrance Greenberg

Terrance Greenberg, Destination Lecturer

Terry Greenberg is a former Canadian diplomat who has dedicated his entire life to the study of East Asian societies and cultures. He holds a masters degree in intercultural communications from Royal Roads University and a BA from the University of British Columbia in East Asia area studies. Terry has lived over 23 years in East Asia, including Japan, China, Thailand, and India.

Dr. Rebecca Knuth

Dr. Rebecca Knuth, Special Interest Lecturer – Cultural Destruction

Dr. Rebecca Knuth was a professor in the Library and Information Science Program at the University of Hawaii. A cultural historian with wide-ranging interests, she is fascinated by motivation, identity, and censorship, and has written two books on extremism and book destruction in modern times: Libricide: The Regime-Sponsored Destruction of Books and Libraries in the 20th Century and Burning Books and Leveling Libraries: Extremist Violence and Cultural Destruction. Dr. Knuth is an expert on war, ethnic conflict, and cultural destruction. She is currently writing about why surviving family members and executors destroy the diaries, letters, and manuscripts entrusted to them.

Brenda Montague

Brenda Montague, Bridge Instructor

Brenda Montague has been playing, teaching and mentoring people in the game of bridge on land and cruise ships for many years. An avid social and duplicate bridge player, she is a member of the American Bridge Teachers Association where she serves as regional director for New England, achieving master teacher and certified director status with the American Contract Bridge League.  She has served on their Board of Governors for several years, representing all of New England. Brenda is a lifetime member of the National Goodwill Committee and is also on the Eastern Massachusetts Bridge Association’s Board of Directors.
