Discovering Thailand & Vietnam. Discover exotic Asia with four overnights in port and five spa days at sea—the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. Start with two and a half days exploring Bangkok’s legendary temples and Grand Palace complex, along with an optional Land Discoveries® excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat. An overnight in Ho Chi Minh City gives you time to visit temples, pagodas and bustling street markets, enjoy fabulous cuisine, and explore the Presidential Palace, Vietnam History Museum, and Cu Chi Tunnels. In Da Nang, visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the ancient imperial city of Hue on the Perfume River, and Hoi An’s Old Quarter surrounded by beautiful countryside. You’ll also have the option of sailing on a traditional Chinese junk on beautiful Halong Bay, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fabulous city of Hong Kong greets you at the end.
Discovering Bangkok’s Ancient City—November 29, 2013. Walk candlelit paths to enter the Ancient City, a 200-acre site representing Thailand’s architectural heritage of temples, shrines, palaces and stupas. Enjoy curries, Pad Thai, chicken satay and other Thai foods paired with beer and Mai-Tais. Soak up the local culture as you watch dancers, artisans and live performances of Thai Khim (dulcimer).
