Charles Richardson earned dual degrees in both science and history from New Jersey City University, a master of secondary education from Seton Hall University, and a master of science from William Patterson University. In 1978, he went on to complete his certification as a secondary school administrator from Rutgers University where he completed graduate credits on the doctoral level in school administration and educational philosophy. Charles has completed course work in such diverse subjects as organic chemistry, geology, genetics, geography, anthropology and American history. Charles’s talks are sure to inform and fascinate you.
Born and raised in Wales, UK, Emma Roberts earned a BA (Hons) and a PhD at the University of Liverpool, England. Emma now heads the BA (Hons) History of Art course at Liverpool John Moores University, U.K., and lectures daily to students on all aspects of art and design. She also speaks regularly to other organizations and was, for several years, a regular visiting lecturer to the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
Sheila Posner has a B.Ed (Honors) majoring in Art from Western Australia, and was previously an art and fashion student at Walthamstow School of Art, London. In 1999, after a career of teaching high school art, she began successfully exhibiting and selling her work. Her mixed media, water-based drawings and paintings are vibrant and expressive and are held in private and corporate collections in Australia, USA and UK. Sheila has held workshops in her galleries in Perth and Sydney and has been teaching watercolor at sea since 2011. Travel and fashion are her passions and are an inspiration for many works.
Father Edward Aigner of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wilmington was ordained in 1972 with a Master of Divinity degree from St. Meinrad School of Theology. In his 40 years of priesthood, Father Aigner has been a member of various advisory boards and directed programs in clergy education. He has been pastor of St. Francis de Sales Parish in Maryland for 15 years. Father Aigner’s studies have taken him to graduate school of Indiana University and to Belgium for a six-month sabbatical. He has led pilgrimages in Rome, Athens and in the Holy Land.
The Rev. Dr. Edward R. Dufresne is a licensed priest of the Episcopal Diocese of Maine and an ordained minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. He is a writer, teacher, pastoral consultant and ecumenical leader. Rev. Dufresne serves as Associate Priest at Trinity Episcopal Church, Castine, Maine. He is married to retired Probate and Family Court judge Elizabeth LaStaiti and together they enjoy traveling the world as well as sailing, skiing and hiking at home in Penobscot, Maine, USA.
Rabbi Robert Fine served as spiritual leader of Bet Torah in New York for 19 years. He served congregations in Queens and Long Island, and served as chaplain at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. In the 1970s, Rabbi Fine taught Greek, Latin and classical studies at Columbia University and Brooklyn College. He attended Stanford University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for his undergraduate studies and Columbia for graduate school. His rabbinic ordination is from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Rabbi Fine has served as a member of the Committee on Jewish Law and Standards of the Conservative Movement.
