Packing

To better help you prepare for your vacation, here are some guidelines on what to pack. Keep in mind that "relaxed" is more than an attitude onboard each of our ships; it's the dress code as well. And though your own taste, interests and destinations will determine what you pack, feel free to dress resort casual in each of our restaurants. If you prefer to be formal, you are welcome to dress for the occasion as well. We wholeheartedly believe this is your vacation and you should dress as you wish.

What to Pack

Whether on the ship or in a port of call, resort wear is fine for both men and women. For warmer climates, this includes walking shorts and polo shirts, swim suits and cover-ups, lightweight slacks or skirts, and a light sweater. When visiting cooler climates, casual clothing that can be easily layered for warmth or comfort is recommended, along with a raincoat or umbrella, waterproof hat and gloves.

On all Azamara Club Cruises®, it's wise to bring along comfortable, rubber-soled shoes, hat, sunglasses and a good sunscreen. Remember to pack any prescription medications or other personal care items you'll need.

Shipboard Attire

In keeping with our friendly but sophisticated onboard environment, we ask that guests keep to a "resort casual" dress code. Out of respect for others, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps, bathing suits, shorts, or jeans are not allowed in the dining room or specialty restaurants. When dining at Windows Café, guests must wear footwear and a cover-up or shirt. Formal evening wear is not expected nor required. If you prefer to dress more formally, you are welcome to do so. Please note that tuxedo rentals are not available onboard.

Recommended Attire

  • For women: sportswear, casual dresses, skirts, pants and capris, blouses and knit tops. Light fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk, and wool gabardine are always appropriate.
  • For men: sportswear, collared golf and polo shirts, shorts, pants, and a sport coat if desired (not required). Light fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk, and wool gabardine are best.
  • For everyone: Be sure to pack a sweater and a lightweight wind breaker for cooler mornings and evenings. And don't forget your workout clothes! You will also need a pair of sneakers or rubber-soled shoes for deck sports, and a swimsuit and cover-up.
  • You may also want to pack more conservative day/port wear for onshore excursions. This clothing should be culturally appropriate for museums, restaurants and religious sites.

Baggage Tips

Each passenger is permitted to carry a reasonable amount of personal property (including luggage) aboard the vessel; however, for your comfort and convenience, it is recommended that you limit the number of pieces you take. Guests who have made air arrangements on their own or with Azamara Club Cruises should check with their air carrier for specific baggage policies related to the following: number of bags allowed, baggage weight restrictions, baggage size restrictions, special conditions for sports equipment, or additional restrictions, as the air carrier may impose additional fees for some or all of these items. Azamara Club Cruises will not be responsible for any additional fees incurred as a result of carrier baggage restrictions.

Bring an overnight bag for your last night at sea. Staff will collect your bags the night before you leave the ship, and you will need an overnight bag to carry your night clothes and toiletries.

Be sure to identify all your bags, including carry-ons. Use your Azamara Club Cruises luggage tags, which should be filled out and affixed to each piece before you leave home.

Insure all luggage and valuables. Azamara Club Cruises cannot be responsible for their loss or damage. Baggage protection, as well as a variety of other coverages designed to protect you during your cruise vacation, are offered through CruiseCare Vacation Protection...

Check to see that your tickets, boarding card and other documents are in order, and pack them in a bag that you carry with you. Your Embarkation Card and Azamara Seapass Account application should be completed before you arrive at the pier.
