SATURDAY JULY 28 – LEITH (EDINBURGH), SCOTLAND

  • Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course. Located at the world renowned Gleneagles Hotel in the heart of the Perthshire countryside. The course was created by Jack Nicklaus, and is a modern classic. It will host the 40th Ryder Cup Matches in 2014. The tees are graded at each hole in five stages, it can play long so choose your tees catefully. Fittingly, the PGA Centenary Course begins by playing southeast towards the glen, sweeping up the Ochil Hills to the summit of the pass below Ben Shee which joins it to Glendevon. A feature is the feast of views of the spectacular countryside in which Gleneagles is set. As with many Nicklaus Designs much of the trouble is short of the green, with deep bunkering and hazards a plenty.
  • A shared golf cart is included in the package.
  • Following golf transfer from the course to Leith (Edinburgh) to embark Azamara Journey. Circa 1hr 10mins
  • Overnight: At Sea

SUNDAY JULY 29 – INVERGORDON, SCOTLAND

  • Castle Stuart Golf Links. The newest addition to the Links Courses of Scotland. Castle Stuart runs along the shores of the Moray Firth to the east of Inverness with wonderful views over to the Black Isle. Six holes hug the shoreline while the remaining holes are played over a terraced slope so views out to sea are ever present.
  • Designed by Mark Parsinen (Kingsbarns) and Gil Hanes, this is a true links course in every sense, with the Moray Firth brought into perspective as much as possible. Clever mounding ensures most holes are played in isolation from the rest. A specific feature prominent over the entire layout, is the use of expansive wild looking waste bunkering, which is also combined with strategic riveted face bunkers give the course a wonderfully natural look. Only opened for play in July 2009 the course is already receiving international recognition and awards.
  • A walking course where pull carts are included in the package. (Caddies can be requested and paid directly)
  • Distance from port: circa 50mins. Depart Invergordon 8:00pm

THURSDAY AUGUST 2 – DUBLIN, IRELAND

  • Portmarnock Golf Club was formed in 1893. It lies on peninsula about two miles long to the north of Dublin City and covers some 500 acres. It is universally acknowledged as one of the truly great links courses, its quality and location have made it a splendid venue for some of the game’s great events, from the British Amateur Championship of 1949, to the Canada Cup in 1960, the 1991 Walker Cup and 12 stagings of the revived Irish Open. Within the curve of the coastline formed by Howth peninsula, it offers stunning views of Ireland’s Eye and Lambay Island, rising sharply from deep waters. But above all, there is the charm of its delightful turf, the wildness, the solitude of the sandhills and the sea, and the ever-present challenge of the wind. No two successive holes play in the same direction so it demands a continual discernment of wind direction. The course has some extraordinary holes including the 15th, which is regarded by Arnold Palmer as the finest par 3 in the world. It is invariably rated as one of Ireland's top three courses, like all the greats, Portmarnock offers a strong and potentially hazardous finish.
  • A walking course where pull carts are included in the package. (Caddies can be requested and paid directly)
  • Distance from port: circa 30mins.
  • Overnight: Dublin, Ireland

FRIDAY AUGUST 3 – HOLYHEAD, WALES

  • Conwy Golf Club is one of Wales foremost championship courses. Founded in 1890, the course lies at the mouth of the River Conwy and is a flat links layout allowing for easy walking as it winds it way through the sand hills and gorse. A spectacular setting between mountain, castle, river and sea. The course measures 6,647 yards long but coastal golf is always challenging and make no mistake when the wind blows the true testing nature of Conwy is revealed. There are not two successive holes where the golfer would play with or into the wind. A striking feature is the last three holes which are of slightly different characteristics. Their difficulty lies in the need for accuracy in both the tee shots and approach to the greens. Host venue to the Wales Senior Open for the last two years.
  • Essentially a walking course a mixture of pull trolleys, carts (limited) are included in the package price.
  • Distance from port: circa 45mins
  • Overnight: At Sea

TUESDAY AUGUST 7 – ROUEN (PARIS), FRANCE

  • Golf National, located to the west of Paris at Guyancourt. Now acknowledged as one of the finest championship courses in Europe, the Albatros Course will host the Ryder Cup in 2018. The Albatros is a demanding course is one of the best and arguably toughest layouts in France. The open and often undulating terrain provides great definition to the holes, while long fescue grasses and gorse-like bushes lie in wait for wayward drives. Significant dune-like landscaping has given a British links-like feel to much of the course, while the water-laden closing stretch is more American in character. The putting surfaces are large and firm, and the whole site excellently maintained as a standard-bearer for golf in France.
  • A walking course where pull carts are included in the package.
  • Distance from port: circa 1hr 20mins
  • Overnight: Rouen (Paris), France

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 8 – AT SEA
