Charles Sherman


Rabbi Sherman graduated in 1963 from the University of Pittsburgh, with an honors B.A. in Philosophy. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Hebrew letters at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, ordained in 1969. The seminary awarded him an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree in 1994. Rabbi Sherman is an adjunct instructor, has served as the president and board member of various medical, religious, social and city organizations, and writes a monthly column for several publications nationwide. Rabbi Sherman holds many honorary awards and was inducted into the Tulsa Historical Society Hall of Fame in 2005.
