Medical Needs

Stethoscope

Azamara Club Cruises® accommodates guests with medical conditions that require the use of dialysis or oxygen. These guests should contact us to discuss policies and procedures for bringing the appropriate equipment onboard. If you have another type of medical condition, please inquire about policies and procedures that may affect your voyage.

Getting on and off the ship

Onboard Physicians

Each Azamara vessel is equipped with a medical facility. At least one licensed physician and one nurse are generally in attendance on all Azamara Club Cruises® voyages. Limited medical services and medications are available for a fee. The types of medications kept onboard are limited. The medical facility is not intended as a clinic for guests, and Azamara is not responsible for the diagnosis, treatment or services furnished by shipboard medical personnel, who are independent contractors.

Dialysis

Guests requiring continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis are welcome onboard all Azamara Club Cruises vessels. However, Azamara does not have the ability to assist nor administer hemo-dialysis treatments. Those guests using peritoneal dialysis should have all solutions and equipment needed to perform the dialysis delivered to the vessel on the day of sailing at least two hours prior to sailing. Please contact us for more information on policies and procedures.

Oxygen

All types of oxygen are permitted onboard. Please notify us as to quantity, type and delivery schedule. Each vessel has a different storage policy; however, you will be able to keep some or all of your cylinders in the stateroom.

Pregnancy

Azamara Club Cruises cannot accept guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginning of, or at any time during the voyage or Cruisetour. A physician's "Fit to Travel" note is required prior to sailing, stating how far along (in weeks) your pregnancy will be at the beginning of the voyage and confirming that you are in good health and not experiencing a high-risk pregnancy. The "Fit to Travel" note should be faxed to the Access Department at (954) 628-9622. Please contact us at (866) 592-7225 or at Special_Needs@AzamaraClubCruises.com if you have already booked a voyage or Cruisetour and do not meet this requirement.

Infants

Infants sailing on a cruise must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise and/or CruiseTour. Note: For transatlantic, transpacific, Hawaii, select South American and other selected cruises and/or CruiseTours, the infant must be at least 12 months old as of the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour. For the purposes of this policy, any cruise that has 3 or more days consecutive at sea will require infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour.

Please be aware that guests travelling with a young infant that does not meet the infant policy will be denied boarding. No refunds or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding to an underage infant or other accompanying guests.

Note: If you have another type of medical condition that has not been mentioned, please inquire about policies and procedures that may affect your voyage.
