Azamara Restored My Love of Cruises! Wings Travel Group Testimonial

Everything was seamless and professional.  I’ve never experienced a cruise before that was so easy and relaxed.  I really appreciated no lines; No lines to get on the ship, disembark at ports, at dinner, or at the buffet.   And the never-ending glass of wine with dinner was wonderful.  My cousin and I met the nicest people, and we became friends with a couple who had a suite, so we had several cocktail parties in their suite stateroom, very nicely prepared by their butler.
The size of the ship was perfect!  And it really restored my love of cruises, as it was similar to the more refined cruise atmosphere I used to love in the 80′s. The port experiences was outstanding!!!  Who knew Malta was such a great place!  We thoroughly enjoyed ALL our ports of call in Santorini, Malta, Sicily and our 2 days in Sorrento.  It most cases we were the first ship in port each day, and we were always the last one to leave.  The port times really does make for a true immersion experience. I felt sorry for all the other cruise lines guests that would hurry their shopping or relaxing to make it back to their ships by 5pm.  But to our benefit it really paid off, and we stayed in the towns late and really had the place to ourselves.  It was great!

Rip Van Winkle – It’s Your Wake-Up Call!

In the short story “Rip Van Winkle” by John Irving, the character wakes up to a greatly changed world after sleeping for twenty years. This story serves as a great metaphor to remind our past-past guests who sailed on Azamara Cruises in 2007, 2008 and most of 2009 to “wake-up” and return to the NEW “Azamara Club Cruises.”

I’ve been discovering comments from those past guests on some cruise message boards stating their intention to vacation with us again due to the favorable comments and feedback they’ve noticed on the internet and from their friends and family. So many good things have happened since our initial launch in 2007 and I want to bring all of Azamara’s first-generation of past guests up to date.

Azamara Cruises was re-branded in December 2009 with a revised name – “Azamara Club Cruises” – as a “boutique cruise line of distinction” with a newly refined focus, and a series of new attributes designed for “upmarket,” experienced and affluent travelers.  Both ships have undergone a $17.5 million revitalization with new European bedding and soft goods, flat screen televisions, new veranda decking and furniture, and wireless internet service in all staterooms and public areas.
