Azamara Tops Cruise Critic’s 2013 Cruisers’ Choice Awards On Both Sides Of The Atlantic

I’m delighted to share with you the results of the 2013 Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards.

  • Both ships tied for the #1 “Best Overall” position in the U.S./Canada markets!
  • In the U.K. the Azamara Journey scored the #1 “Best Overall” position and the Azamara Quest the #2 position!

Also we’re tops in “Value” with the Azamara Journey scoring the #1 position in both the U.S./Canada and U.K. markets, and the Azamara Quest the #2 position on both sides of the Atlantic.

Again we’re tops in “Service” with the Azamara Quest scoring the #1 position in the U.S./Canada and the Azamara Journey coming in at the #4 position. In the U.K. the Azamara Journey earned the #1 position and the Azamara Quest the #2 position. A complete scorecard for both ships in both market areas follows below. Azamara Makes Impressive Gains at the Travel + Leisure World’s Best 2012 Awards

It was just a few short months ago when Azamara was recognized as the #1 Small Ship Cruise Line in the world at the 2012 Cruise Critic Awards, where we won five out of nine awards. Well, the recognitions just keep continuing—only now we’re being singled out from amongst the biggest ships on the sea.

We’re thrilled to announce the small boutique ships of Azamara received huge attention at the 2012 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards. We moved up an incredible three places in the overall ranking in the Large Ship Category—going from #6 in 2011 to #3 in 2012—which is the biggest jump in ranks in the entire Top 10 list. This is a great achievement for the entire Azamara team, and we couldn’t be happier!

The Azamara Journey—and Quest—for Greatness

There’s an old saying, “You have to start somewhere.” Well, for us, it was back in 2007 when we first launched our two ships, the Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest. Then in 2009, Larry Pimentel came onboard as CEO to help steer us to where we needed to go, where we wanted to be. With the debut of Azamara Club Cruises in 2010, we’ve had quite the incredible voyage, going from “Aza-what?” to the #1 rated Small Ship Cruise Line in the world at the Cruise Critic 2012 Awards.

We’re really proud of everything that we’ve achieved in just a few short years—and we couldn’t have done it without you. So from all of us here at Azamara, thank you to every one of our guests and employees for helping us grow and learn in the process.
