Day one of the 8 Night Coastal California Voyage was very exciting. After leaving Los Angeles, we set sail to Santa Barbara. On the way, we participated in the very first live social media Q&A event with a ship captain while at sea! It was an incredible event, with over 100 people tweeting more than 1,000 times, and Captain Jose of the Azamara Quest responded and shared his unique advice and insights.

We’ll be doing a live event with other Azamara staff all week! Don’t miss out, follow the #CruiseChat hashtag on Twitter.

The beautiful Santa Barbara Mountains were stunning to behold as we headed into port. The weather was sunny and warm, which was perfect for our next adventure!

We took a tour of the wonderful Santa Barbara Zoo, where we got to see all the animals, and even feed a giraffe!

Finally, we got to tour Santa Barabara by moonlight. We didn’t want to leave! But we were greeted to “Welcome home” when we arrived back at the ship, and we were ready to see where our adventure would take us next.

Stay tuned for part two tomorrow! And make sure you’re following @AzamaraQuest on Twitter, where we’ll be posting updates during the whole voyage.
